Project 4TwentyNine Prod. and Donta Storey announce, “Dooley Does Murder!” feature film.

Los Angeles, California – August 18, 2020 – Project 4TwentyNine announced the greenlight of Donta Storey’s new film “Dooley Does Murder!”, as well as it’s courtship between HBO Max and Shudder streaming services.  After a cathartic and successful debut with their film “LiME”, which Storey wrote, produced, and directed, they are aiming their cannon in a much different direction. “LiME” premiered critical acclaim during its festival run which began at the San Francisco Black Film Festival, and ended at the Los Angeles Outfest Fusion Festival in March 2020, “LiME”, has made Storey easily one of the up and coming creatives to watch.

The new film which is being described as a campy horror fest with dark comedy elements was written by Storey, who will also star as Dooley, a queer vintage perfume salesman who realizes their appetite for success leads them to murder. The film will challenge the very “deflated” sense of self today’s social media and culture have cultivated. The rest of the films cast, and director are underway.

“Black Americans have always had such a complicated relationship with Hollywood and with Horror, and I’m really excited to take a deep dive into a world that normally excludes us!” says Storey.

“Dooley Does Murder!” is Executive Produced by Maritta Kachele, Donta Storey, and Project 4Twentynine Prod.
