Destiny Malibu To Release Inspirational / Mental Health Focused Album
In 2020, as the world has come to a chilling stop for more than 7 months, Destiny Malibu is releasing not her 1st, not her 2nd, but now her 3rd album of 2020. We might wonder why Destiny Malibu is compelled to release a 3rd album so close to the November elections amidst the political and civil unrest everywhere you turn to which Destiny Malibu replies… “I am passionate about spreading positivity through my music and began the year full of joy with my first two albums of 2020 focused on fun, dancing, and celebrating graduations and weddings. However, as 2020 unfolded and one tragedy was followed by another, as an Artist I was moved to give my listeners songs that would reflect the pain and trials of this year. I believe in the healing power of music, and this 3rd album is comprised of some of my most emotional songs including, “RIP”, “Miracles”, “Temptations”, “Broken Heart”, “Peace 2020” and “Silver Lining” to reflect the emotional rollercoaster we have all endured this year. As a strong advocate for good mental health, it is my hope that this album brings you hope, healing, peace and strength in spite of all that is going on inside our hearts and around the world.”
This powerful inspirational / mental health focused album, comprised of 10 original songs – written and performed by Destiny Malibu, opens with the echoing sounds of a full orchestra on the title track “Out of the Shadows”, arranged by American Composer & Screenwriter, Michael Levine and conducted by Bijan Olia.
ALBUM RELEASE FOCUS TRACK & MUSIC VIDEO:
As a strong advocate for good mental health, Destiny Malibu’s focus track- “Temptations” is raw, emotional, and chilling with dramatic guitars that embody the pain and chaos of 2020 and the life battles we all face. True to her songwriting across all 27 songs Destiny has released in 2020, “Temptations” offers words of encouragement and hope. “When I feel like giving in, You rescue me from my sins. You love me tender. You love me sweet. God only knows I’m suffering.” “Temptations” draws us to our knees and often brings even grown men to cry every time they hear this song. The “Temptations” Music Video was filmed Quarantine Style on multiple Apple iPhones directed by TalkBoyTV via Facetime and will be released the same day as the album – October 2nd 2020.
PEACE 2020:
The Music Video for Peace 2020, track 6 on this album, has been featured on MTV and networks worldwide and was filmed in a Boxing Ring in Malibu, CA to portray that undoubtedly, we have all faced this year with our boxing gloves on as we are all searching and looking for peace. Charting on the Top 10 on World Indie Music Charts” and “Euro Indie Music Charts” Peace 2020 was Destiny’s original audition song as seen on American Idol in 2018:
