“The Jinhua Bridge Connecting China and Africa” – The “Jinhua Bridge” of Trade and Commerce

Jinhua, China – November 4, 2026 – Starting from May 1, 2026, China officially implemented a two-year zero-tariff policy covering all 53 African countries with diplomatic ties to China. Designed to further advance China-Africa economic and trade cooperation, the policy will speed up negotiations toward the Agreement of China-Africa Economic Partnership for Shared Development, enabling African products including coffee, avocados and nuts to reach Chinese households faster.

This commercial “Jinhua Bridge” is far more than one-way trade. In the first half of the year, Yiwu imported goods worth 8.53 billion yuan from Africa, a year-on-year increase of 130%. In the first eight months, Jinhua’s import and export volume with Africa reached 132.41 billion yuan, rising by 36.7%. Jinhua has ranked first in Zhejiang Province in terms of trade volume with Africa for 11 consecutive years, and its export volume has topped all prefecture-level cities nationwide for 9 consecutive years. A trade bridge featuring two-way flows. Taking Yiwu as its hub, Jinhua helps Chinese commodities enter African markets and brings premium African products to Chinese consumers, building an ever-widening trade bridge for win-win outcomes between China and Africa.
