About the Author
C.D. McKnight Sheen was born in Glenhuntly, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia in 1947. As a war widow, her husband Victor tragically lost his life as a result of the Vietnam War. Carole is the loving mother of two children, Georgia and Adam, and the proud grandmother of Victoria, Phillip, Matthew, and 4-year-old Emerald.
Her deep connection with animals and her dedication to volunteering at the Melbourne Zoo shines through in the novel, enriching the narrative with genuine emotion and insight.
